I'm a second owner on a 98 civic that has 304k miles on the original clutch that is finally starting to go. Mostly highway miles though. I don't think the actual mileage matters all that much. If you travel 100 miles a day on the highway in high gear your clutch is getting less wear than a 1 mile drive through a few traffic lights.

You might want to check if those cars have this noise:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56882 The clutch needs to be completely warmed up to reproduce this noise. Some people have trouble trying to get this fixed, including myself. I've been trying since April. |
