if you aren't having shifting problems then leave it alone...same with brake fluid...if your brakes work fine without having a mushy pedal feel then just leave it...others may disagree but i disagree with them too

I am the unofficial leader of the "Don't change your fluids just for the sake of changing your fluids" camp but the AT is one thing that does have a recommended change interval. As N1 pointed out it should be done every 60K. There is no real benefit to doing it more often unless you really beat on it or track it though.

Disagree provisionally...

Most transmissions have recommended change intervals and the clutch discs do wear producing particulate matter. Most also have filters that need changing.

Brake fluid - depending on the type used for your application many brake fluids have a strong affinity for moisture and will suck it out of the air leading to corrosion in the brake system.

Exceptions to every rule though - depending on application and design parameters.

I changed mine at 30,000 miles because I wanted to weld on a bung for a temp sensor. I just used Toyota fluid.

They will change it anytime you ask them to if you pay them.

It doesnt have lifetime tranny oil. It is in the manual as change at 60k. But it shouldnt matter as they will change it whenever you wish to pay them to do so
