After a bit of tinkering this is the best that we could get out of 91 octane and a stock exhaust. California gas is crappy. A bit more than what the innovate kit puts out on this dyno. (mustang dyno)

Wasn't he on 10+ psi and E85? I know he has a built engine with 9.5:1 compression, so not exactly a straight comparison...
9.5:1 yes but only on the 7psi base map and 91 Canadian pump gas. The lack of compression actually made is worse on the base tune, too much fuel and no timing.

I saw your car last week while your clutch was being installed.

May I ask why you just did not have him do his own custom tune?

Is that a stock VS tuned turbo? or Tuned turbo VS non tuned turbo? Because if that was bone stock vs turbo that TQ is way higher than mine :P

Pete's/Works dyno rates quite a bit lower than most. I think it is like 8-10% compared to my other tuner using a mustang dyno.

But I really think 91 is what's killin us. wen we go FI on my girls FRS we will be going to e-85.

Here is a pic of of the frs dyno with a cat back muffler and intake VS intake, boral headers, up pipe, front pipe, catback with tune.

Here is a pic of the dyno from my other tuner same vs same

Also I noticed you still have stock over pipe and front pipe. Changing them out may help as well.

Update: Got a new map from Visconti early this morning. He wanted a pull on map 1 and 2. I drove around for a bit and got a couple pulls in on map 1, it no longer had hesitation going into boost, but was still much leaner than I'd like. Cold starting was completely resolved as well. On the previous maps the car would stall out unless you gave it constant throttle for 30 seconds.

Now the bad news...switched to map 2. I tried going into boost a couple times and noticed my AEM failsafe didn't show any AF/R readings, as if it was outside of the 10-18 range it can read. Ok..headed home to review logs. Driving on local road, 25ish mph..heard a loud POP sound. Sounded really bad. Car drove the remaining 1/4 mile home and parked the car. Waiting to hear back from John to see if there's anything horrific in the logs.

I discussed it with Pete and he was certainly open to doing the tune. I completely trust him to do the tune, but I bought the pump+e85 tune from Visconti, and plan to stick to E85 once the 91 tune is finalized. I'll probably end up with the Visconti Flexfuel kit so I think a dyno tune from Pete on 91 might be wasted.

Definitely. I'm not looking for high power on this map, just good/safe A/Frs. I don't like seeing my A/F ratio lean out when I hit boost.

Well I hope all goes well for you. Ill try to follow you the best I can. am not sure what fi kit we are going with. But full blown was one we were leaning to. And works is where we are going to have it tuned and likely installed. I kinda like his prototype kit as well. I just wish the flex fuel kit did not cost so much.
