Thumbs down pmccut's FBM dyno results

Just picked my car up from WORKS motorsports in Sonoma, CA after adding some goodies: ClutchMasters FX300, Perrin engine mounts, Perrin rear shifter bushing, and Perrin transmission support mount.

I'm e-tuning with Visconti. This is the fourth map so far. The fuel pump (dw 65c) had 2 o-rings and no white spacer originally, so I added a third myself, and WORKS just added the 4th before this dyno run.

I'm waiting on FullBlown to send over a map for the 3BAR sensor as well, and plan to see if LJ can get the car running OK.

The dyno run is absolutely terrible - 179hp, 180lb/ft

Here's the really worrying plot - boost/afr.

Right before the car goes into boost it goes really lean, then super rich.
I have yet to drive this car fast, or even on a fun road. Someone keep my hopes up please

Seems like a tune issue. No worries. Talk to John about it. I am sure he will get you running tip top in no time.

Why don't you flash in the base tune that Full Blown supplies with the kit?

How long has the car been in this condition (waiting for a proper tune)?

Considering another Full Blown kit hit 13.7 with stock tires, it has to be the tune.

The results really are all in the tune. I don't know what to say because my Visconti tune was running nearly twice the boost you are running.

The base tune I had from fullblown was for the stock MAP sensor. I emailed LJ on Thursday for a new tune. Ill bug him again on Monday.

Have you considered going to someone closer to you to do your tuning? It's a bit easier than the back and forth stuff. I know I had some issues with the fuel pump myself.

91 base map isn't that great either to be honest. Red line is base. I was thinking I was going to need to upgrade the clutch--not so much. (dyno dynamics)

After a bit of tinkering this is the best that we could get out of 91 octane and a stock exhaust. California gas is crappy. A bit more than what the innovate kit puts out on this dyno. (mustang dyno)

Wasn't he on 10+ psi and E85? I know he has a built engine with 9.5:1 compression, so not exactly a straight comparison...

The back and forth is going to take some time, hopefully it wont be too long and you can get that running smoother.

The pump that comes with the full blown kit also needs the spacers? Where can I pick those up?

I certainly considered it. The owner of WORKS does ecutek/brz tuning, but he hasn't done a FBM kit yet. I went with Visconti since I plan to switch to E85 as soon as I make sure I have a good 91 map to fall back to. I imagine I'll go the flexfuel kit as well.

I haven't actually seen anyone posting good power levels for these kits on 91. I really just want to see my AFRs around the appropriate area, so it doesn't have knock correction everytime you enter boost - crazy. Can't wait for some corn

I believe you're supposed to use the one from your OEM pump. I just took my FBM pump w/ OEM spacer out of my trunk when I got the car back today. Wish it had fit as well as the DW65c.
