There is a sticky on track pads used for this car and the user's experiences:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23680

Track pads can be noisy if not bedded in properly. After bedding the pads, they are relatively quiet and great for street driving. That bed-in layer will get scraped off eventually and re-bedding is required.

From the driver's seat, I will say they are worth every penny.

Honestly I didn't even know all of these pad existed.
Sounds like you may best be served by learning how to change pads, and using true race pads for the track.

If you can turn a wrench, and use a torque wrench, you can do it yourself at the track. You'll need a 14mm for the brake caliper bolt, and 19mm for the wheel lug nuts.

Wrenching isn't an issue. I've even calibrated my compression test, fuel pressure test, and tire pressure gauges on a dead weight tester. I'm due to have my torque wrenches calibrated though...

I'm looking for the better bite and temperature range for the street.

Thanks. I have read that, I just feel lost in the sea of options.

Race pads, for the street. I'm absolutely serious. I do it myself. Properly bedded (not easy), the noise will permanently disappear.

Tons of brake dust through....

oh bummer trd usdm dosnt make them. i just put them through the ringer last night up in the mountains and was very impressed. brakes were super hot and had zero fade. slight loss in initial responsiveness but thats probably the stock brake lines and oem fluid. Im gona run them on Tsukuba in july as well.

Just ordered my new pads, Ferodo ds2500's at both ends. I was considering the project U HC 800's, but they're almost twice as much and the small increase in heat range wasn't worth it to me. Also picking up a MC brace, braided lines and new fluid for good measure.

Last I checked the Project Mu HC+800's (from @eauto) are cheaper at $220 a set than the Ferodos at $300 a set.
