Heat causes oil to thin, in my GSX I run 20w-50.

but people do what they want anyway, so I dont really care

I have just switched my race motor and FRS to Torco SR1 for the frs 10/30 was recommend to me by them. This stuff is top shelf oil. Period. Good for temps to the 300+ range and the oil that's used by our own military in drones.

Sr5 is the full blown racing oil that I run in my offroad truck good for the high temps and sustain loads.

I use AMSoil 0w20 at the moment but I'm curious about possibly running a thicker oil since the heat thins oil and track days are gonna really push it.

Royal purple 5w30 has never let me down. Over a dozen cars/bikes making 400-1100whp and no issues.

as for now, you should get 0-40, or 5-40 for turbo engine. Later if you have high power u should use 0-50.

Eneos oil.

20W50 is a bad idea in an engine with bearing clearances in the .001 region. Thats opening a can of worms.
