When my iPod, nano to be specifc, is connected to my BRZ in iPod mode, I do not see a pause button. All I have is forward and back and then song title, etc. on the right
So where is the pause button I am missing.

You guys are in an FRS, I was asking about BRZ.

I went thru the manual in detail and on the BRZ NAV unit when in Bluetooth audio mode you can indeed pause the music, however in iPod mode, you do not have that as an option. Only way to pause music in iPod mode is to turn the audio off. Pretty dumb design

I was replying to the OP...but he drives a BRZ as well. Seems like it's mainly the BRZ owners having this problem.

I had an ancient ipod (U2 autographed version) which could not just have software updated because the pins in the plug have changed. Had to bite the bullet and buy a new ipod.

I have a brand new iod classic. 3 days old. I halfway through a song it just quit working this morning. Radio first said "no compatible songs available" then I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in a few times, and "connection error see owners manual to see how to connect ipod". couldn't get it working again until I restarted the car. If it keeps doing it I'm going to the dealer to bitch.
