Steam is different. You're buying a digital game and don't own a physical product, the disc. I think I cut Steam a lot more slack because my 2500 dollar library has only cost me about 400 bucks though. Anyway, the big anti-consumer issue I have with MS is that even though you have that disc, they don't want you to be able to sell it. Digital purchases have always been this way though, on PC and every console that supports digital purchases.

Cut them some slack though. There's a lot of work going into a presentation demo that takes away from people actually working on the game, because they need to try to polish up a build to display. They're always unfinished games, and always going to be buggy. There's a lot of hope that something like this doesn't happen, but it does, and is nothing to be worried about this early.

Completely normal by F2P standards. Free to play, no game to buy, but if you want more out of it you'll need to put money in. This isn't news at all imo. If anything I'm more surprised that they made it F2P and didn't charge sixty bucks for the box. The downside is that a lot of F2P games end up being more expensive in the long run.

Yes. Of course they will. Im all for spending 20$ and playing every character i care to rather then spending 60$ for 30 extra characters i might use once just cause they are there.

Making the game free, means potentially every xbone will have the game, and if each character is 3$ for example, instead of getting 60$ from the people that REALLY want this game, they will instead get 5-10$ from literally more than twice as many customers then they would have had at 60$, while still getting 60$ from the "hard core" fans that want every character... I wish theyd do this w every game that could work this way. Forza for free w 10 cars and u buy car packs for the cars u care to own? (Implying u could buy every car for a total of 60$) Perfect!

And I totally forgot that I have a .JPN profile on my PS3. I forgot because I rarely log into it. But I can download JPN games through that profile.

It sells on name and hype alone. I don't think I've ever been more disappointed in such a highly anticipated game.

And yet it's still better than Forza.

The thing that's still fuzzy though is how Microsoft is going to define "family" in that group of up to ten that can share your account. As for buying one game and everyone playing it, at least that's supposedly been ironed out. Only one person can be playing the game along with the owner at a time. Someone on Kotaku Tweeted Xbox Support to clarify what defines a family and here's the response they got:

@XboxSupport3: We don't have the specifics on how that will work at this time, but more details will be available in coming months. ^AD

I still have my launch day PSP fat. All my UMDs work and I haven't needed to repurchase anything. Also, best hand held emulator ever.

Is it possible that Sony could do that? Well, yeah. It's possible that any manufacturer completely abandons the disc and goes for digital distribution only. Is it likely, especially after the fiasco in the past? Doubt it.

Sorry but this post just sounds like very fanboyish. One copy instead of four???? Try loaning your game to four friends and see how far that gets you. I share games with my buddies all the time. If they like it enough, they buy one. You obviously feel compelled to not like Sony, so then don't buy the console. I have a feeling MS will need to change their approach this time, or they will find themselves competing with the Wii U for biggest next gen flop. I hope that doesn't happen...
