I've always been an xbox guy myself. Gotta love Forza! $$ will have a lot to do with my decision though. I'm not liking the fact that you buy a game for $60 and then a month later they want you to buy some expansion pack or VIP crap for more of your money to keep the game up to date (not just forza, they're all doing it now). I miss when new content downloads were included in the original purchase.

I didn't hear that. Thats bs.

I read this though.

Reports are claiming that Xbox One will require all games to be installed on the console's HDD before they can be played.

According to Wired, if owners want to use the disc with a second account they'll be asked to pay a fee and install the game from the disc, suggesting that once games are installed you won't need to insert the disc to play.

It's unclear what this means for the secondhand market, though Microsoft announced on an FAQ page (since removed) that the Xbox One is designed "to enable customers to trade in and resell games. We'll have more details to share later." It didn't reference the fees confirmed by Microsoft to Wired.

We're not entirely sure what this means but have reached out to Microsoft for clarification and will update the story as soon as we hear back. -ign

I am a videogame enthusiast first...not necessarily a console fanboy. I own both a 360 and PS3 right now, and I will eventually own both the Xbox One and PS4...but will likely buy the Xbox One first.

However, I'm estimating a $499-$599 starting price for the Xbox One, and so I won't be making that purchase until well after the holidays and the first price-drop happens...I have enough of a backlog of games to last until then.

Same here. Order of game playing rigs goes PC->XBOX->PS3. I remember the PS3 was about $600 when it was first launched but came down to about $400 pretty quickly. I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY want Forza 5 ASAP and i may be one of the suckers who pays the premium for the Xbox one at release time if Forza 5 is released near the same time.

I will be going with the PS4. It doesn't look like there is a big difference in the specs of each console. Well, what we think are the specs, are pretty close.

Xbox One, it's as simple as that's what I've owned since high school, and don't really want to lose the ability to play the Xbox exclusive franchises I have played for years. The only games on PS I feel I've really missed out on over the years are Gran Turismo, Drake, and the Final Fantasies.

I will probably end up getting both at some point but will most likely start with the PS4 since I have a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel that doesn't work with XBox. Hope that they improve the physics for GT6.

I will probably buy both eventually, but Forza is the primary draw for Xbox One.

Without trying to ignite the old debate, GT5 fucking sucked after having been playing Forza 1-3 before it was released. It was super boring comparatively speaking. Waiting to see what GT6 offers, but I don't have high expectations for it.
