Am I gonna get anymore clearance in the front with 17x8+45 instead of 17x9+35, or is it not worth the hassle and shall I run 17x9+35 square? |

Tire rack only has the +45 offset so I'm not sure... with some more searching around I could probably find something

Different handling characteristics square to stagger. Plus tire rotations to consider. Your choice, bro.

I would rather have a 8" +35 than a +45. But that's just me. (And JB lol)

Spacers?
Quote:
Scion FRS dropped by Tein S Springs - website states 1.3 for front / 1.1 for rear Stock struts/ shocks Enkie Kojin wheels 18 x 9.5 square set up. Tires are Yokohama 255x35 18 I have read that spacers would be needed for the front end to clear the struts. How much is needed to make this work ? Side note : car is mainly for daily driving only. Thanks in advance |

If you're using camber bolts, these will change the distance to the perch. Using a bolt in the lower hole gives just a smidge more clearance as opposed to using the top hole. Probaby just a couple of mm, but that can make all the difference. I'm going off of fitment of my 17x8s (+48) with 225. Tire is almost rubbing the perch, but with an 18, I think the rim itself will be in that area. Where am I getting the +30 from? http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2421193 These guys are running 18x9.5 +30 with 265s, originally this was on stock suspension and camber bolts in the lower holes, then they went to lowering springs (MachV ~1"). They said they had minimal rubbing, which I think was fixed with more negative camber.

Yes. (Please read back through this thread, this fitment has been discussed a number of times as to how it clears, but just. This is my current setup as well)
