Audio genius needed...
Ok this is a bit of a stretch I am sure, but I am not an audio guy by any means.
I have a base head unit and I have no use for it basically. I was wondering if there was a way i could run an xm unit and only an xm unit. I would like to remove the big ass box in my dash and use just an xm controller. I dont need cd, am/fm. i would love to keep blue tooth if i could. My main goal is to remove the big oe unit out of the dash and replace it with the smaller xm controller leaving room for guages/performace electronics. i know they have hidden radio units for street rods but i didnt want eat up my whole glove box either. |

Sure, its gonna cost you quite a bit tho. In a nut shell you would need the following....
A motorcycle XM kit A car XM antenna with compatible plug for above kit. 3.5 to rca adapter Amp to power speakers either 2 or 4ch Amp kit The volume would be controlled through the xm unit. You would lose BT. In the end it would sound terrible and cost a lot. If you want XM and want to put some gauges there.... then get a single din. 3 gauges are more than enough for monitoring. Then you spend like 250 and get to keep a simple system that will sound decent as you can get from XM and have BT. |

Just get a single din with BT and XM, then put gauges above/below it!

There's no way you are gonna get BT/xm without a head unit so suck it up and buy one or build it.

If you don't want CD you could always get a mechless unit from Sony or Alpine.
