You are not even trying...

Good things about CA: Weather, car culture, attractions/sights/things to do, diverse cultures, opportunities to make decent-significant money in a variety of industries...

Bad things: Infestation of illegals and other various social program moochers, natural disasters, traffic, TAXES, cost of living, ridiculous laws and regulations, corrupt politicians (really a country-wide epidemic anyway)...

Depending on the engine management, it may not pass the readiness check (not sure about the current options for our cars). I'm sure the tune can enable readiness though.

They ditched the sniffer because it was expensive and pretty useless. Lots of cars that passed a smog test were caught by a smog van as polluting later on.

From what I've heard, the visual is getting revamped. Meaning the techs might actually know what to look for now.

Not that I have much personal experience...I haven't had a smog test in at least 5 or 6 years. Do what I do and just keep buying cars that are too new to get checked!

Ontario Canada is worse, they crush your car if they "Think" it has a racing modification on it.

It's about $ for the state, not making the air cleaner. It creates a false illusion to environmentalists that know nothing about cars that the state is doing its part.

Sounds like a great time.
