I don't think it's worth it to fix... since my RC is an HPI Super RS4 I don't have a good selection of bodies for it... It's been collecting dust for over 8 years now... Same as my Traxxas Sportmaxx

What real drifters do is run a "counter steer kit" in their cars. All it is is a differently geared drive train. The most common kits are a 1.5 and 2. This is 1.5 rear rotations for every 1 front rotation and likewise for the 2. This allows for counter steering. I've only seen 2wd drifting on carpet, but like what was mentioned above, the perfect setup and surface is needed as well as a ton of skill or else you will just spin out in place all day.
This is the biggest annoyance I have with RC drifters... counter steering has NOTHING to do with wheels being under or over driven. Counter steering is when you steer into a slide, also known as opposite lock.

"Counter Steer" kits do nothing but overdrive the rear wheels so that the car doesn't want to drive straight under power. They force you to be better at counter steering to not spin out, but that's the only tie they have to counter steer.

The paint is Tamiya PS-##. It must have PS on the can and not TS. I used the TS before and you see what happened.

It is just modeling clay from Michael's. It is Fimo Effect baking clay. It comes in a 56 gram block (about 2oz.) for about $3. I started with half of the block and probably worked half of that down.

Get those pics up. We (or at least I ) want to see.

That's exactly why I put "counter steering kit" in quotes. You explained it much better than I did. And I completely agree. It looks good, but takes away the ability to drive straight...the only thing that most cars can do.

These are MUCH brighter. They aren't as blue as I had hoped, but that's fine. I can get them bluer by boosting the voltage, but for reliability reasons, I built the system to operate at 12.6v. Of course the battery will not stay at 12.6v for ever, but that is the max, therefore the safest setup. If I had a constant voltage, maybe from the rx, then I would be able to raise the power level of the LEDs. The ESC I have sends direct 2s power though, so the brightness would drop of quickly.

The spoiler dropped off of the stand while I was putting the black base coat on, so now I have to re-sand and prime again. That will have to wait till later tonight though. I'm meeting up with some other 86ers.

PS is lexan/polycarbonate paint, TS is meant for hard plastics.

I'm a big fan of faskolor paints, that's what I've used on any bodies I've painted lately.

Believe it or not, I actually thought hard about experimenting with a cut off line. I may try later on.

I finally got to sand the spoiler again. I'm going out to spray the base coat again.

It didn't come out nearly as nice as I had hoped, but a ran out of paint so there was no turning back.

On a side note, the mirrors were also painted and are on. I just need to add the black to the underside. I also ordered magnetic body mounts so I won't have to put holes in te body. In expecting it to be here tomorrow or the day after. Lastly, I ordered new wheels and tires.

This was without the body mounts installed.

Not a great angle, but you can see how high the front is, even after I cut the metal mounting posts. I may just mod the springs. I am also probably going to spray the back of the LED bulbs so they do not shine on the inside.

The kit came with white double sided tape. I replaced it with black double sided tape.

The body mounting posts: The black kit was out of stock, so I may just paint the rear posts black.

Should I get colored wheel nuts? If so, the options are red, black, or grey/gunmetal.
