My new LED's will be here on saturday, but I honestly can't wait for them since tomorrow has a local meet. I'll just replace the melted wiring for the time being.

you, sir, need a 3d printer. they're awesome for the rc stuff. PM me if you want one i have a few extra Printrbot parts kits laying around.
I get my stuff through a company. An at home printer can't print the detail I need.

No I will not be doing fog lights, since I already have switchbacks. I actually left room in the turn signal housing for an extra 5mm LED so that I can eventually have actual 1:10 switchbacks. I would like to turn the fog bezel into and duct though, but I have to wait and see what happens to the big one.

I still haven't done any extra work on the spoiler. I did start the stickers today though. Tedious is what they are.

oh yes, yes they can. 6 months ago they couldn't. i'd recommend looking into it if you're into this kinda stuff. we have $2k DIY machines that outperform anything 3dSystems can build.

for your application you want one of these:
http://formlabs.com/pages/our-printer

i just sold a DLP machine that was similar (well, not very, but the end result/material is the same). i printed a working carbeuretor for my Baja 5T with it. there's nothing you can't do at this point, unless your working at < .001"

just a suggestion i think you'd find value in.

Dude, this is awesome! Props on your model-making skills. If you need any 3D printed parts, I may be able to help you out.

Check this out. As you might notice with the windshield wipers, this kit is actually a RHD. I can't really flip the windshield wiper area, but I can modify the door handles. Here they are as supplied. I'm just going to cut the keyhole areas off then apply separately

I looked into the one you posted, but damn $3k is just a bit much. As weird as it may sound, I've always preferred cnc machines over printers. I would have already had a 3 axis cnc, but then the car came along. I'm not complaining though.

I don't want to come off as the competitive type, but I honestly think that his car is ugly. It's got stupid offset wheels which makes it have to site higher than even the full sized car (I'm talking in scale). HE doesn't have adjustable upper control arms so the lack of camber isn't helping. I personally think front lips by themselves are ugly, especially since that is just the excess molding. And the exhaust kits for RC cars are the equivalent to rice IMO. They are all fart-can-look-I-can-drift tips/canisters. Again, just my opinion.

I considered building my own exhaust, with muffler and everything, but I gotta see what goes on the real one first.

I simply cut the keyhole out of the left door handle and stuck it on the right handle.

I sanded, filled, and sanded some more. I'll be painting the spoiler today. I'll also be reprinting the mirrors. The clear I used matted the mirrors.

I also have access to several CNC machines, but they are typically tied up more than the 3D printers. Give me a shout if you need any parts and we can likely work something out. Plus I would thoroughly enjoy fabricating some miniature Toyobaru parts!

What paint are you going to use on the spoiler?

Where you get that compound clay putty ?
