Exactly, I am over the loud wastegate noise. It was awesome for the first few years though. When running such little boost (7-10psi) the wastegate is going to be open (keeping the boost low) all of the time.

Having it recirculated smoothly into the down pipe with the direction of exhaust flow should keep turbulence to a minimum. However you are right, for absolute performance, dumping it to the atmosphere is the way to go.

04+ front calipers are direct bolt on

In the rear you need 08+ STI calipers for them to be bolt on.

Pricing? Find the cheapest used calipers possible. Just keep checking the forums, junk yards, and ebay. It took me MONTHS to find what I wanted at the price I was willing to pay. To do it reasonably cheap you are going to have to be really patient.

I got the rear calipers for $230 shipped on Ebay, I have seen people trying to get up to $700 for them other places. I got very lucky. The guy had them listed as 04-07 calipers for some reason, than it was missing the hardware and had stripped out bolts. They will look brand new by the time I am done with them.

when u say direct bolt on means it uses stock rotors and no other modifications needed

Even when I widened the holes the intercooler would not fit with the undertray in place. Trying to force the bumper over would really bend it.

Are you all going to be offering more options in terms of turbo selection? Or are you sticking to the gt/gtx series?

Interesting, I will investigate it tonight and update in the morning. We will use the plasma cutter on the bumper beam if we have to.

A better option then that is to trace around the undertray and cut out the area that the intercooler sits on. That will give you another half inch or so and it still looks factory because of the other panel that sits under the car and covers where you cut.

You can use stock 2004 STI rotors that have a 5x100 bolt pattern in the front yes. In the rear you will have to go aftermarket or redrilled to get 5x100 rotors. Read through my entire thread on the brake swap, and you will have all the answers you need.

Lots more progress has been made. Boost gauge hooked up, oil pan welded and installed, catch can lines done, vacuum system done, oil system done. However I forgot my camera at the shop. We are going to try and have it tuned on Saturday.

Will update later.

I would love to see some pics of AFR and boost gauge placement! And please take a video with car on the dyno.
