Having it recirculated smoothly into the down pipe with the direction of exhaust flow should keep turbulence to a minimum. However you are right, for absolute performance, dumping it to the atmosphere is the way to go. |

Very nice build!
I'm thinking about getting my whiteline stuff before my turbo kit install.. Just undecided.

Interesting, I will investigate it tonight and update in the morning. We will use the plasma cutter on the bumper beam if we have to.

A better option then that is to trace around the undertray and cut out the area that the intercooler sits on. That will give you another half inch or so and it still looks factory because of the other panel that sits under the car and covers where you cut.

You can use stock 2004 STI rotors that have a 5x100 bolt pattern in the front yes. In the rear you will have to go aftermarket or redrilled to get 5x100 rotors. Read through my entire thread on the brake swap, and you will have all the answers you need.

Lots more progress has been made. Boost gauge hooked up, oil pan welded and installed, catch can lines done, vacuum system done, oil system done. However I forgot my camera at the shop. We are going to try and have it tuned on Saturday.
Will update later. Adam |
