Target setup:
Front - 18x8.5 +30 -> 225/40/18 Rear - 18x9.5 +35 -> 255/35/18 Questions: 1) Shall they fit stock height and alignment? 2) Shall they fit with 1" or 1.5" lowering, front camber bolt and rear camber bushing? |

Contemplating between different sizes of the same wheel:
18 x 8.5 +35 Square 18 x 8.5 +35 & 18x9.5 +35 Staggered 18x9.5 +35 Square Objective is a set up that handles well, and can be driven hard safely. Car will have FI, est 300whp. Car will have Tarmac II coil overs, front crash bolts and rear camber bushings. I'd like to run the 18x9.5 square with 245/35 rubber for the concave look, but am not sure if this will be too aggressive for functional front fitment.. What's the best set-up for me? Contemplating on 17x9.5 +38 all around and stretching a 225/45/17. Planning on just crash bolts to get the -1.0 to -1.5 camber in the front and Swift springs for the 1" drop on stock struts. Yes I'm a ricer.
pic of s2ks doing it: ![]() starspecs ![]() Track duty i'd do a 245/40/17 g force rival on the same spec rim 17x9.5 +38. Would that hit the stock strut at +38 or should i just go the proven 17x9 +35 route? |

Have a set of 5x100 17x7.5 wheels. Trying to decide on tires for them. I really wanted to put 235/40's on, but the selection in that size is pretty terrible.
Thinking of settling on 225/45 Rivals, thoughts? These sizes are pretty conservative for stock ride height right? Don't want to be anywhere near rubbing anything. Edit: Forgot offset, +53 |

^I would stick to 225/45 for a 7.5" wheel.
This wheel size is confirmed to fit, please refer to the stickied chart: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7535 Very conservative. The distance to the fender lip will be within 1mm of stock and on the inside it'll be 5-6mm closer to the spring.

I'd go full 9.5 square if you want to run aggressive camber. If you want it easier , go staggered. |

guess i'll try to stretch the 225 rival then lol. wish there were more grippy tire choices in 235. or just bite the bullet and get coils already.
