Has a USB cable with female socket on the end that plugs into the rear of the nit and goes to the glove box. I have a cheap USB hub plugged in with BT dongle, USB music and wifi dongle for tethering to my iPhone.

Here's a link to a hub @Narcoden is using. I think he had posted. Photo of his all plugged in but I can't find it for you and I haven't got a photo of mine yet. Wow, that looks hella nice, wish they would've gone into some more of the phone apps and features and the map, but I'm sure more videos will come soon, wonder what the price is though.

^ Plenty of apps and future use a car nav receiver. This is now like 3rd generation into smartphone era compare to those old early z130/z140. A very decent developed unit by pioneer. Kenwood Dnn991hd & Alpine INE-957hd also come out soon in May.

I have to admit, that Pioneer unit looks awesome!

And the android interface he's talking about is MHL, NOT mirrorlink (mirrorlink only uses USB, while MHL is faster and uses hdmi). so, the appradio unlocking solutions (like ARunchained) will hopefully be made to work soon with these new HUs, b/c frankly Pioneer's list of "approved" apps sucks when it comes to music (they use their own instead of letting you do full, inhibited mirroring).

This is exciting, can't wait for in depth reviews, hope it works well with stock android, because I'm definitely getting a Nexus device next. Still need to know the price though

It won't. You'll be forced to work with Pioneer's umbrella app which is about as bad as samsung's drivelink app.

You'll need to be rooted to unlock the full potential of MHL.

The problem there is sound quality. I had an AppRadio2 in my STI, and it sounded okay. It was much better than stock, but SQ was only fair to middlin'. It is good on the interface, but the sound processing left a great deal to be desired (only 4 pre-outs with rear/sub switching pre-outs, so if you wanted pre-outs for a sub you lost fade control... and they were only 2V pre-outs, and it came with the worst 5-band equalizer I've ever seen outside of OEM units).

The AR3 hasn't changed any of that. All it did was add disc, bt audio, and mirrorlink to the HU. the hardware remains unchanged

It's definitely not the best, but my Kenwood DDX470 accomplishes everything I want it to.

Has multi frequency EQ, quick and easy touch screen interface, ipod and external video input, cd/dvd, etc. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles (especially for Android owners), but it also only cost me $250, instead of $400-600 for some of the Alpines and Pioneers. And this is all without nav. Most of the other stuff I can just get from my phone.

My Sony XAV-701HD is great, but I don't think it's "the best". But for the cost, I think I got one of the best units for my needs.

That new pioneer NEX unit looks like it's going to take the cake, though.
