There's no way the fuel pump fuse should blow from key on/off cycles, or repeated cranking.

Plus, if the whole reason the car wouldn't start was because the fuse was blown, then that fuse was blown the first time you tried to crank it and any attempts after that couldn't possibly hurt the fuse any worse.

Out of curiosity, are the dome light fuse and fuel pump fuse the same amperage? I would be willing to bet A LOT that they simply swapped the fuses and didn't even give you a new fuse on the fuel pump circuit.

No offense, but it sounds like they saw a girl come in and thought they could take full advantage of the situation.

I'm glad it's only fuses and nothing more serious. Complete BS that you had to pay for any of it though. I hope you get your money back.

any other ideas?
It is the radio fuse in the engine bay fuse box, front left of vehicle. There is a spare fuse in the box to change no charge. Same thing happened to me when I changed my map light

Seriously either call head office or speak to the dealer principal, you have warranty for 3 years, $115 is serious coin, do not get taken advantage of or they will continue to do that in the future. You must stand up for yourself. If you use a spare fuse to get yourself going, the dealership should replace it so you have one for next time also

while agree with many of you, yes I should go back and complain till my throat is sore however I have better things to do. I'd rather not waste more of my time and money. They should of done it right in the first place, I should not have to go back. I will not be returning for further service work nor will I buy another vehicle or recommend anyone use that dealership. I plan to instal a fullblown turbo kit in the near future which would completely void any remaining warranty anyway.

^ this.

total BS the way they are jerking you around. and i hate to say it or even think it but it very well could be a gender thing and that CANNOT stand.

get as many local FRS/BRZ people to join you at the dealership, blockade the place and go in to make a point to the owner/manager. inform them that you will not be doing business with them ever again and neither will any of your friends outside or anyone they ever speak to. then give them one last chance to make it right.

dealers count on word of mouth, and the people with the biggest mouths are enthusiasts!

at this point you have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

If I was you I would call the 1800 scion number and make a complaint against the dealership not upholding your warranty on your electrical.

yea that dealership is trying to bs you to get money. Toyota needs to know though about these things. They might even give you some goodies for free.
