Ugh! Car won't start :(
Checked the battery, full charge, swapped batteries, no luck. Car turns over but won't fire up. :( fuses all look fine as well. this sucks! can anyone recommend a good service department who actually knows what they are doing with the frs? Barrie doesn't have a clue what their doing.

Car turning over only eliminates the starter and battery as a culprit...
Could be spark, or injectors...Also check your intake. |
Is it struggpng to fire up or not even attempting?
Auto or manual? |
manual. starter engages however no ignition of the engine. its going to barrie since newmarket would of cost me extra towing fee :( ... now waiting on flatbed... :( under 300kms.. this sucks

Going to be hard to figure out what it is on the side of the road. You will have to bring it to a shop anyways. Hope it's nothing major.

Mods are rims tires and coilovers.
Yes the car has gas. Really hope the dealer can figure it out and have it fixed ASAP. |

If it is a manual, install your tow hook and pull/push start the car. Put it in second gear, get the car rolling to at least eight MPH then pop the clutch. I suspect it's flooded. You'll have a lot of smoke out of the exhaust once you get the engine started.
Another thing you can do is locate the spark plugs and remove all. Crank the engine two-three times for five seconds each to spit out the unburnt fuel. Dry your spark plugs, if you think they are fouled replaced them. Install the plugs, hook up you car battery to another car(it will only take less than ten crank attempts to drain the battery on it's own), try starting the car again. Crank for five to ten seconds and wait for 20 seconds before starting again, that will allow your starter to cool in between attempts. But a rolling start will ALWAYS restart a flooded engine; assuming that your battery, ignition coils, spark plugs and wires, and fuel injectors are healthy. Good luck! |
if its an manual did you do the pedal adjustment?
|
Don't know what the pedal adjustment is.
Car is now at the dealer so I really hope they have good news for me tomorrow. |
