Dear god thats loud, but scary if I watched this vid and didnt know what it was. sounds like a mix of an uncapped wrx and a 2JZ supra. I like but would hate to have for my DD.

Well of course I wasnt wringing the engine full boar just enough to capture sound clips. Its not FI fast obviously and we all know the car isnt stupid fast but for what I have done to my car its a night and day difference from stock. I do plan on adding a FI down the road which will fill the void.

The fr-s sound that strong because cell phone microphone that records the audio with a lot of distortion.
Look at my video recorded with my galaxy S3. I have stock catted exhaust manifold and it sound extremely high due to mic. recording quality

Love the way it sounds. Im planning on a borla uel, perrin overpipe, invidia n1 t1 exhaust with invidia catless front pipe, go fast pulleys, and AMR cold intake next month. Just wondering since u have no cat now, are u getting a check eng light. Im trying to avoid programming if possible.

Sounds great!

I've got a Borla UEL, Agency over/midpipe, and an invidia N1.... it isn't quite as loud as yours, but pretty close

The exhaust note is great with the UEL, doesn't sound like a fart cannon at all.

In addition to contributing to the formation of ground-level ozone, and fine particle pollution, NO2 is linked with a number of adverse effects on the respiratory system.
You're now not stopping any of that. If you're running a catless DD I think that's a pretty **** move, especially considering that even a high flow cat is going to stop a large majority of the stuff you're now just letting escape into your neighborhood.

http://www.importtuner.com/features/...l/viewall.html

Import tuner did dyno tests on a 1999 Si (1.6L B16) and the short version is thit:

I/H/E, OEM cat: 147 hp
I/H/E, Magnaflow Ceramic Cat: 150 hp
I/H/E, Magnaflow Metallic Cat: 151 hp
I/H/E, Test Pipe : 152 hp.

So, MAYBE, you are making 2hp at the very most. It's not worth spewing raw emissions into the atmosphere for an unnoticeable gain.

i can attest to the fact it is more than a 2hp gain for everything i have done to the exhaust system. does it stop anything from getting filtered? no it doesnt and i understand that. now take in consideration my daily driver outside of my work is my wifes car which i drive way more than my FR-S so outside of work my FR-S doesnt see much street time other than traveling to and from the track or few other places. if there is a concern for polution so be it i understand your argument, but this is a thread to let people hear the sound of the exhaust not to get into arguments and pissing contests over other facts that can be talked about on other threads.

Are u getting a CEL with the set up or does the agency have a cat on it or is it a resinator

All of your changes made a significant difference I'm sure, but a high flow vs. no cat is going to be unnoticeable especially considering all of the other things you did.

I'm glad you don't DD this, but I think the point about how terrible it is for the environment to run cattless had to be made in these threads. This isn't a pissing match, facts are facts, I'm just here to state them. :happy0180:
