Calculating tarrifs, shipping, the exchange rate of the Australian dollar being the same as the US dollar the entry level BRZ (given that Subie Australia gets their act together) should be no more than 30k!

Now the wait begins.

My top secret source says that the Turbo is coming. Just not for 1 year. So make sure you and the other turbo guys don't bother going to the dealership for the 2013 model year. Kthxbye.

(just in guess, that was in fact sarcasm)

Everyone is going to hate me but I for one might spring for the navi system (either car) if I can... my GPS signal in my phone gets lost when I put my phone down and I'm afraid that if I fuss with it too much a cop will stop me and issue me a ticket. And it's more convenient and easier to see. Plus, using the GPS app on my phone makes it harder for me to text while I drive. (kidding.)
No one hates you for wanting Navi, I think most of us just don't want to pay for it as a standard feature. I don't have a problem with it being an option

Eh. I have a race car, my street cars no longer need to be track whores only. I would never drive a caged car on the street so I always had the conflict of whether or not I should keep it safe for the street, or make it as safe as possible at the track... having a pure track car that never sees the street is the way to go IMO but that requires a huge commitment.

So has it been confirmed if the Subaru version will have the jdm (good looking) HVAC knobs and whatnot? Also, is that May 2012 release date for US or for Japan?

Based on that post the only thing it includes over the Scion is the Nav and the telescopic wheel if you believe that the Scion doesn't have one (the guys there said it did not). The HIDs etc aren't confirmed in the premium (nor the limited for that matter).

Again.. I can't say this enough.. grain. of. salt.

I'll never buy a car for MSRP, let alone over. I'd rather wait 6 months.

In his defense he does have a lot of seat time already I believe. I still stand by what I said, learn the car and what it needs before making a massive parts list that you may find pointless after a few months on track with the car anyways.

Well my Subaru guys are saying only one version from Subaru anyways, but they admit that their info is just as likely incorrect as the MT guy.

How much info have we seen come through magazines "from Subaru" or "from Toyota"? I don't recall much of the info being very accurate....

A glimmer of sanity! I completely agree by the way. Except for the sales tax thing. Yay NH!

BTW, I really am not trying to be negative towards the MT news. I just don't believe most of the details are accurate. Take some stuff away that the FR-S gives you, add one or two things, and charge 2-3k more? That's a failure and Subaru isn't that stupid. (or at least I'd hope not)

It will be entertaining to come back after Subaru actually releases information (NAIAS PLEASE!!!) to see who was the most accurate
