This^ is the only part where I like SCION I don't have to haggle to get that price lol. Im guessing I better save a grand or two over the 24k price tag just in case.

Awesome news for the BRZ buyers... If that thing comes loaded with so many extras for 24k, I can only imagine how much the cheap-o base FR-S will go for... 21 or 22? The latter seems more likely since the tC is around 19-20ish.

The BRZ Limited model adds leather seats with Alcantara trim, fog lamps, rear deck spoiler, 17-inch rims and vented discs (16" front, 15" rear)."

The Premium seems to be offering a lot of stuff for $24k...
That article mentions a lot of stuff that is standard even on the 'base model' FR-S, which I have bolded. They just bring up a lot of fluff to make it sound much better.

The RX-8 is not the FR-S

Hopefully I can play multiple dealers off each other to make sure I get it at MSRP, it's the sales tax that gets you anyways If there's an option to get the car without nav and save $1k I'll take it, but if it's standard with the Premium trim then I'm not gonna waste my time complaining about it.

2. TRD supercharger (~$2500?)
3. Take the front vents out etc., stick in the roll cage (~$1000?)
4. Import the gauge cluster from the GT-86 / ditch the radio (~$500?)
5. Get whosever racing seats and ditch stock (~$2000?)
6. Add BRZ spoiler (~$500)
7. Some 17" 15lbs racing wheels (~$1000)
8. Coilovers (~$2000)

Total cost: ~$31,700

*any opinions on my pricing?

1. Should be drivers education course.

Seat time > than any of those listed. Save some money and follow Dave-ROR's advice.

Who knows what packages have WHAT for canada. Canadian spec'ed subarus are often VERY different. Example. For 2011 wrx. We had plasma blue while US didnt. We dont get lightning red thoufh. Even stereo and gps units differ. We usually get "winter packages" in base trim too. So if US seat heaters and wiper heaters are optional. Theyd be standard here.
A base WRX hatch in Canada is over $31500, in the US it's $25500. Hell the base impreza wagon is $17800 in the us and $25500 here.

If you want a BRZ in Canada you're going to pay $30000 for the premium and probably $33000 for the limited.

Fuck Subaru. Buy the Scion. If it's $21000 for the Scion in the US then it should be $23000 here.

Just watch... if the scion is at least $6000 less than the base Subaru in Canada all of you owe me a Tim Hortons coffee, oh wait, I don't drink that swill.

I've been nervous about this, especially with how badly we've been being ripped off with the dollar either at parity or above the US dollar. I was hoping for an FR-S, and if we can get one up here for $23k, I'll swallow that. If they try and price gouge us on this and bump up a base FR-S to 25+, I'll wait for it to hit the used market on the cheap.

I have never seen Scion do this, but anything is possible on the FR-S.

I think bare bones is what they were after, to keep the price in the low $20k range, since the BRZ is at $24k.

I think we will see about a $2k difference in price.

FR-S at $22k
BRZ Premium at $24k

I noticed this discrepancy also...even the high-zoot models at the Tokyo Show and the track days had the same 17" wheels...

....actually, though, it makes me wonder how accurate the any of the information in this thread really is.
