Papadakis Racing has a new Scion FT-86 in it’s possession

Word from some reliable sources has it that Papadakis Racing (team owner of Tanner Foust’s Scion tC) has a new Scion FT-86 in it’s possession. We have also been told it might already be caged! We revealed 10 days ago a caged Scion tC that we are certain will be his 2011 Formula Drift car. Judging by the rumored release dates of this Scion FT-86 it appears that Tanner and Steph could be building a 2012 car already to start testing and make this thing a contender in 2012.

Just spoke with a mate "lol" who used to have a Subaru factory team. Since I thought "he" would be in the know regarding the Suby FT on info. Turns out he is going to get a Toyota FT86 sometime from Oct-Nov 2011 to work over. It just happens that Toyota are wrapped they have someone who knows the flat 4 back to front and knowhow to maximise power. I'll leave it up to you guys to work out who this So-Cal garage might be. He said they will deliver the FT-86 with the FB motor. He is of the opinion it will come as a 2.5 liter it is likely to be the same spec as what's in the Forrester. His shop is likely to get 250-300hp out of NA and 450-500 hp out of blown.

Could be fun.

Sorry that I can not name him or his shop. He is a new friend and has no idea I will post.

Correction:

A turbo version is coming with the EJ25 Subaru motor, the NA will come with the new FB short block with Toyota heads.

Because Garrett's site trumps the rally ones and Papadakis' own. No rally. They were Honda guys until Toyota bought Scion's way into drifting. Tanner's the principle driver for Papadakis' team, doesn't mean they build all the cars he drives. Rockstar sponsorship + Tanner driving doesn't automatically mean Papadakis built car. Case in point:
