lots of kits comes with intake but some uses stock airbox like avo. So wait until you know what you want, because you probably don't need to buy an intake |

It is the intake 100%. This is a very common issue on cars with MAF sensors close to the filter on aftermarket intakes. Either get an Injen intake EcuTek tune or take the intake off.

I agree it's the intake (I've had similar problems in the past with other cars where the RPMs drop faster than the ECU can account for, and it just stalls out)...although I'm having a hard time visualizing what is going on that would make that happen (physically in the system).

It is the tumbling of the air from the pod filter (Aussie term). The ways to fix it are a different pod filter, an air straightener, moving the MAF sensor to a locaiton with straighter air, or adjusting the tune to compensate. This was an issue on E46 M3 as well.

This. Sucks soo much. I have an Injen as well and had the same exact problem even after reflashing the ECU. Will have to get it tuned.

This is a common problem with the following intakes;
- AirRaid - Injen - HKS I also have the Injen and it has happened to me as well. More often now that the weather is warming up. I would strongly recommend re-installing your stock intake until you can get a tune. EcuTek and Unichip both have tunes that will fix this and your car will run properly with those intakes. No need to sell them, they are perfectly fine. Just be aware. I'm taking mine off tonight and storing it until I get my tune. Scott
