sigh. i don't think he understands that this thing is marketed as the cheapest sportscar toyota can make at the moment. and to people like me (17, wanting a first car to learn how to drive in that ISN'T a Miata) who love Toyota and wish they were around at the time when the AE86 was the icon it was and you could get one NEW. Thank you Toyota, for filling my wildest dreams into reality <3

I donk know why some poeple are b!t$hing about this car? To me the FR-S>BRZ>GT86 (Yah I know some people like the GT86 more, but thats only me)

if they sell the FR-S in my country I'd go for it (I'm going for the BRZ)

Im sure the nice hvac, push start and goodies will be options, but what really worries me is how that radio looks awfully close to the pontiac montanas from back in the day...

I think we're all on the same page here:
*Low $20k's will get a line out the door at the dealerships
*$25k-ish will get some moans & likely a good chunk of lost sales
*high $20's will leave almost everyone pissed
*$29,995 is a death sentence.
At $29,995, I'll hold out for the right deal on an NSX of Elise.

$2k less and we talking...but damn no push button start? This is 2012...we don't need keys in cars anymore. I knew Scion was gonna do something like this. I was hoping not...saying they would equipment the car well. But damn it is actually the low-spec version of the 86 with a cheap ass 1990's radio!

BRZ....BRZ!

You guys crack me up.. Something tells me that half the whiners that are complaining about the small stuff, really couldn't afford the extras anyway. You probably wont even drive off the lot with the BRZ.. What do you do for a living anyway? It's a large car market out there, that's the fun thing about it.. Shop and buy what you can afford. Personally this looks like just what the doctor ordered.. I don't live in my car, I drive it too and from work and take a road trip every now and then.. Course if I lived in it and did long commutes I wouldn't want this car anyway.. I'm buying it for the fun factor and because I can afford it.. I'm done participating in the whiners circle..

You have a good night now ya hear!
Bro I can afford this car. I just wanted what the high spec Toyota 86 was. BRZ for me!

BRZ!

This is really starting to sound like a broken record.

I'm all for members expressing their opinion, but as I just recently posted, repeating the same negative thing over and over again (especially when it's dissing one of these models in favor of another) at some point crosses over into trolling. Be forewarned.

Hey bro I am not trying to piss anybody off. I thought we were all friends here and we could post our opinions. I am not hating on the frs. It has it's place. But why can somebody tell me I can't afford a car? Just saying...

If you look back I was the main scion frs supporter. I still think they will do good.

I know this thread is getting out of hand and you got to step in.

I will tone it down...
