Exactly convotutor, how is Scion gonna compete with hyundai cheapening out their cars. New V6 Genesis is getting direct injection and will have 333hp. The 2.0T may upgrade to the 274hp found in the Sonata

Yes, my wife's car has them and I don't like them, my ass keeps its self plenty warm on its own.

I was happy with all the haters this car garnered when it was released in Japan, and now I'm even more happy that there are more people turned off with the Scion.

This will make it that much easier for the rest of us to buy next year.

Well IMO, they aren't really comparable. The cars seem to target slightly different demographics.

Hyundai is a much bigger car, more focused on the luxury, convenience while being able to have a bit of fun.
The brz/frs is much smaller car, more focused on the driving aspects than anything else.

But people will definitely cross shop them and I hope the brz doesn't drop the ball and price them over the new genesis coupe.

The OP's point is the Japanese get the best of everything, be it BRZ or 86 and we get the shaft as per usual. I'm somewhat disappointed, but the only thing I really want in the FRS is the heated seats and the LED/HID headlights. Up here in Vancouver it gets freaking cold. Heated seats are amazing.

I would love to see the dual climate/nicer back seat/push start as an option for the FRS.
The interior looks so cheap....if its only $1k less than the base BRZ...forget it...
$2k less and we talking...but damn no push button start? This is 2012...we don't need keys in cars anymore. I knew Scion was gonna do something like this. I was hoping not...saying they would equipment the car well. But damn it is actually the low-spec version of the 86 with a cheap ass 1990's radio!

BRZ....BRZ!

Toyota...the 86 rocks!
Scion.....you screwed the 86 up
