or should I use a 225 or 235 width?

I talked to another "tire expert" at discount tire, he said 245 will be too wide in the front and affect handling.
Those look perfect btw!
I'm on 225 40 18s all around. The wheels are 18x8 +35. 245's would definitely be too wide. 235 or 225 will be fine.

Action shot for you as well:

I didn't see it stated but your sidewall height is your section width multiplied by your aspect ratio. In the case of the 245/35, that's 245mm x .35 aspect ratio = 85.75mm. Converted from metric by dividing by 25.4 works out to 3.375 inches.

Now you know how to fish!

I forgot to mention that this measurement is to the base of the tire bead. The lip of the wheel rim will cover some of that, generally by about half an inch for most wheels.

Yep. 18x8 +35

They're about to be replaced though. Gramlights are on the way. 18x9.5 +40 57C6.

I just got my 18x8's wrapped in Falken Azenis 922's 225/40R18 and I'm pretty happy with them. I don't do a lot of racing, but drive spiritedly to/from work. I feel more connected to the ground around corners. You should check the reviews on the tires you are looking at (and make sure to check tire weights as well!)

Good luck! :happy0180:
