Tires for 18x8 +45 TSW?
 

Got some TSW wheels in 18x8+45 square setup. I'm dropped 1.4" on Eibach & want ultra low profile tires. I 'm fine with bumps, and I don't AutoX... What are some good tires?

I was recommended:
Hankook v12 evo 245/35
Continental Extreme Contact DW 225/40
And Falken ZX912 235/40 from my friend at Firestone (super cheap)

Which is best and what is a good size for a small sidewall, but still keeps great handing?

don't forget dunlop star spec 2 (less tyre life but more grip) and even eagle F1 asymmetric 2

Either of the first two. The Falkens are all-seasons. Friends don't let friends put all-seasons on their sports car.

Which are likely better/more grippy than the summers that came on the car.

Lots of tires are. That doesn't make them good tires, it just makes the Primacy HP bad ones.

Regardless, the 'Kook V12s will be a much better tire and I can't see them costing much more.

I can get the Falkens for $550, hankooks cost almost $900. Would the falkens be close to 245/35 in sidewall height? Thanks for the help guys, first time buying wheels..

Hmm. If you can get the Falkens that cheap it might be worth it. Is that installed, or just for the tires? They'll be grippier than the crappy Primacy in any case. The second number is the sidewall ratio; the Falkens will be "taller" than the Hankooks, but they'll both be lower profile than the stock 215/45 tires.

You can get 245/35 Ventus V12s from Tire Rack for a bit less - about $750 plus shipping - but then you'll have to pay someone to mount/balance them for you.

Both 245/35 and 235/40 will both fit fine. 235/40 is a little taller and 245/35 is wider.

550 installed. Okay I think I'll just buy some hankooks.

Just get the Hankooks. They are fine. I've been on mine since like July with 0 issues:

or should I use a 225 or 235 width?

I talked to another "tire expert" at discount tire, he said 245 will be too wide in the front and affect handling.
