Here is a capture of the manual showing connector locations. The fog connectors, when they are optioned in the BRZ, are A4 and A41.

I don't believe the wires end in a connector (terminate) I believe they are just run into the last bit of harness and left there. Meaning you'll have to cut open the harness and fish them out.

Whats odd is on the other side of the connector (the harness for the headlight bulbs), a green wire comes out of that pin. I wasn't able to get a picture, but I'll be taking the bumper off later this week to take a better look.

I didn't have the time to take a look at the driver side connector, but I'll look again tomorrow.
This is the photo I posted earlier. Its drivers side, just behind the headlight assembly right above the windshield washer tank. I found both a red/white and white/red wire running into the harness with the red arrow. That pigtail leads down to power the parking light and washer pump. The red/white wire IS the correct wire, don't know what the white/red wire was for but it wasn't for a fog light.

The reason I'm stating this is that I don't believe the white/red wire you've found is the correct one for the fog. The white/red wire must be a common color wire and the manual doesn't show it going to any other connector other than ending at the fogs.

Yeah, here's a quote from Moto-p regarding the JDM headlight conversion:

USA Scion FRS lamp assembly socket pin (6 Pin connector)

1. Green (High beam) 12V ----> Blue bulb position actuator 12V+
4. White (High beam) GND ---> Yellow bulb position actuator GND

3. Red - (Low beam) 12V------> Red HID Ballast 12V
2. Black - (low beam) GND-----> Black HID ballast GND

5. unused on FRS headlight but pre-wired on the car (parking GND)--------> 16guage Black LED Common GND
6. unused on FRS headlight but pre-wired on the car (parking 12V)--------->Green LED Low 0.5w mode 12V+

*7 not on the headlight socket, wired separately from the live side of the DRL resistor on the FRS DRL line. ------>White (LED High 3.3w mode 12V for DRL)

I believe you saw wire #6 on that connector.

The red/white, white/red wires for the fogs do not terminate at the headlight connector, as civicdrivr has posted. I was just saying that he was looking at the wrong wires. We still don't know exactly where the wire "ends". The bumper has to be taken off and the harness wrappings undone to figure out exactly where it ends.

Do you still need to run a power wire from the battery for the fog lights ?

That was the driver's side. On the passenger side is a white/red wire that terminates into the turn signal connector as well, as seen below

Sweet! I would expect the wiring to run to each individual side. As stated earlier the white/red I found on the drivers side was not for fogs.... unless I didn't probe it well.

The wires are as follows:

Driver's side
White/red connects to a solid red for the turn signal
Red/white doesn't go to anything on the other side of the connector

Passenger's side
White/red doesn't go to anything on the other side of the connector

My thought is we can either use the empty side of the turn signal connector to tie to the hot side of the fog lights, utilizing the red/white and white/red wires on their respective sides. Or get the part number for the harness on the turn signal light side (the one with the fog light wiring) and just replace it. Any other thoughts?

Double Sweet! The riddle is solved! Couple pins, about 12" leads and connectors for the fogs is all the wiring needed to have the fogs wired.

If the connector from a BRZ is available that would be the best option. Otherwise find the pins for the specific connector and install them.

I contacted subarupartsforyou.com. Hopefully they'll respond tomorrow!

That is unless someone could look it up another way.

Activating the Head Light Automatic Sensor on the Subaru Stalk

kmbkk & FRSFirestorm,

While we're still at the wiring topic, I think we might have also found a way to connect the Head Light Automatic sensor, which can be operated by the BRZ limited $60 Subaru stalk that many of us already have.

Look at L2 or L5 on the diagram below. I found the BRZ limited light sensor on the Subaru site for $72, so we can get this sensor and plug it up onto the appropriate location on the top of the dashboard.

So this message is to enthuse other members into turning some attention to integrating the light sensor function as well as we did the Fog Lights project.
