Random factoid: Cruise control is capped at 90mph. You can "set" it at higherspeeds , but it'll bring you down to 90mph. It's finicky and at over 100, it won't necessarily even "set".
Driving through arizona i noticed this...but if you set it lower than 90 you can incrementally increase it with the button to over 100 (didnt try any higher than 105 personally)...car really hated slow driving after hours of that

It'll keep accelerating as long as you hold the cc stalk "up", but as soon as you let go, it'll come back down to 90...

Just going to throw this out there, but maybe a more apt speed challenge for this car would be to pick a stupidly difficult curve and compete for highest rounding speed.

That will lower your top speed, but it does help correct oversteer and lift, so yah.

I lived by a military base at the time.. They have a old 10 mile stretch of road.. It's closed off.. I cruise to the other end.. Then head back.. Make sure no one else is on it.. They filmed this here

During the filming I did my top speed run of my bike.. They had quite a few cars out doing too speed runs.. It's outside of Barstow and fort Irwin

Please form an orderly queue if you would like to purchase used parts from anyone who tries and gets this wrong!

This is a bit unrelated but when I first dropped by a Scion dealer roughly 6 months ago, they had one sitting outside and was instantly greeted by a sales rep. One of the first things that he said to me was "Yeah I just got back from taking this on the freeway, got it up to 150mph and she was still pulling." I knew the guy was full of you know what, and sadly that dumb remark cost that dealer my business, not only because he was telling a flat out lie, but also due to the fact that going those speeds on a public highway is just outright ludacris, and then bragging to a potential customer about it. I was actually thinking about going up the manager but just let it boil over me. How stupid can you get?
