Im assuming droping the car with coilovers, adding a spoiler for down-force, and just pushing the engine with a turbo/charger.

Am I correct in my assumptions?

Step 2, Dash says 125

You dug Incorrectly

There are electronic limiters in the rom that can be changed to suit whatever you want. I think by default the US limiter is around 140 - 145 area. It will be based on the speed rating of the stock tires.

When I was younger and more stupid I took my Evo up to 150 and then slammed the brakes hard.

They made quite a lot of noise after that.

That was 7 or so years ago.

Our car has seen 147mph (GPS verified).

Random factoid: Cruise control is capped at 90mph. You can "set" it at higherspeeds , but it'll bring you down to 90mph. It's finicky and at over 100, it won't necessarily even "set".

Manual vs auto. Gearing in the auto is different

I'm gonna swap the coil from cylinder 4 to 3 to see if it follows. If not, then I'll replace the plug. I just got to sears to pick up the AXESS sockets to make my life easier LOL.
So that is the key to getting the coils and plugs out eh. Let me know which ones you get and how well they work.

Ahh... I think i may have seen that limiter in the stock rom too and just assumed it was not actively used for anything... I'll have to go look again and see. Although I not sure i would ever need to set the cruise higher than 90 lol

Anybody try top speed after getting an EcuTek tune with your redline raised to 7800 RPM or higher?
