If I were to do the same (18's + 1inch drop) and went to go drive on a back road somewhat aggressively would there be any drawback?
Glad I can help. No wheel rubbing at all, also the ride quality has not much changed with the drop. The biggest change was when I changed wheels/tires, but the drop itself did not make the car noticably harder or less comfortable to drive.
I can only recommend to use a slight drop (1inch) when changing out the wheels to something more agressive

you can use the tire calculator that's linked at the top of this page:

http://www.frsproject.com/tire_size.php

245 45 17 is a decent size. depends also if you are concerned about weight.

then you need to search for a tire brand that meets your target. weight
for the same size tire varies by manufacturer.

Pbrown, that is hawwwwt. I am liking the wheels a lot, great contrast. Looks like you got 20% or 30% tint all around too? I dig it man.

Here's mine, still stock height. Thought the wheel gap would bug me more than it does, that being said, I'm pretty sure it will get lowered eventually.

Thank you. Yes 20% on the back 35% on the sides. Keeping everything legal in Ontario. Unless you are going to track the car or for personal preference, stock height is great. The tire size is 225 40 18 offset is +35 in case I didn't post that. A little stretched and the ride is smoother than the winters I had on it. Good luck with your decision. It is by the far the toughest I had to make regarding the car.

Still looks good though. The more I am seeing everyone's stock height + 18's it actually looks pretty good since the car naturally sits pretty low as is. You can still get away with it and it still does not look unproportioned

Thank you sir! I agree with it being a difficult decision. I am more than likely going to sit on it, keep looking at literally every picture I can, and then hopefully make a confident decision in the next month or two. In the mean time I might be upgrading my intake filter + tube as well as lower it using the eibach pro kit.

Thanks! I think what bugged me more with the stock wheels than the wheel gap was the sucked in look they had, especially the rears.

Now that that's gone, the gap is allot easier to live with until I can figure how how to lower it, springs or coilovers, and how much drop. Looks awesome with 1.5 inch or more drop, but I just don't want to mess up the already almost perfect handling characteristics it already has. I'd like to see and ride in a couple with both to compare the difference between the two.
