This is why the fullblown kit was overheating the engine in that "Tuned" video showcasing Team VCMC's FR-S. You are nearly doubling the power of the engine (and placing a super hot turbo in the engine bay) and expecting the stock radiator to take care of it. hehe
Fullblown has a radiator solution. Robispec has a super duper radiator/oil cooler all-in-one solution. |

I got my ScangaugeII and slapped it on today. I was running around 200-208ish driving around with giving it some gas and also just cruising on the freeway at 60mph. I have the Perrin oil cooler sitting on my table which I'll install soon so I'll be able to give a comparison in temps. Unfortunately no track temps but daily driver/spirited temps I'll compare. Oh and it was about 61-65ish degrees outside today.

After driving around today after installing the Perrin oil cooler I'm seeing temperature decreases of around 20 degrees. Obviously the more air flowing through it, for example when on the freeway, the lower the temperatures will be. I was at about 180 when on the freeway after driving around for a while, instead of the 205ish area before installing the oil cooler.

On track yesterday with around 68F ambient temp I gave it heaps and oil was around 266F at peak on most sessions with a max peak of 271F in one of the sessions.
Speedtech project 86 car peaked out at 243F with oil cooler driving hard on track. They used to top out at 284F before oil cooler installed and 243F is the highest they have got to now they have an oil cooler installed. .

I just tracked my car this weekend, Saturday mid 70s ambient temps. I was peaking 245ish temps. Sunday the temperature outside got up to the high 80s(damn you Houston weather) and was seeing 265ish peak oil temps.
I believe I might have to install a oil cooler soon as I now plan to run my car in the summer.

Custom - I can PM you a link bit likely with shipping to USA etc would be more expensive than the Perrin one you could source locally.

I want to see your V. 2, keep in mind us FI guys with IC in front, and Intake piping running in the engine bay close to the fans. I know both are big limitations in to how thick it can be made, but I hope something can be worked out so that it does fit nicely with FI kits.
