Note: I bought this harness, i did not make it and how the switch is internally wired may not look exactly like this diagram i got off the internet and edited to my setup.
Yes I know what a positive trigger setup is, and for the last time, you won't be able to ground the white wire with that. Read my last 2 posts on how you can add a negative trigger via a second relay. That's why PatGT86's diagram is the way to go. No need for a second relay.

Yes, i understand and am not saying it can work. Just clarifying my setup. Unfortunately the harness would be to much work to rewire so i may do the second relay option. Thanks for your help

I've ordered the parts to do this, hopefully haven't messed up anything.

> BRZ WIPER STALK FOR PREMIUM MODEL - WITH FOG LIGHT SWITCH (shouldn't have the "Auto" spot in the switch)

> A pair of Ebay Outback Fog-lights

> Nigel-JDM wiring harness

> Pair of JDM Toyota light housings (uhg!, back-ordered)

The airbag removal makes me a little nervous, but shouldn't be as bad as dis-assembly of the rear hubs to install longer wheel studs!

Thanks for everyone's help in this thread.

Not sure if I understood your question correctly. Anyway, this is the European lights stalk.
(Note there is no kph/mph button...)

This is the European dashboard.

And this is the dashboard with both front and rear fogs on (you can turn on rear fogs light only after front fogs are turned on).

Sob! I need this in my life! Any chance you have the part number for that stalk?

I was going to link you this one:
http://www.nigel-jdmparts.com/japan-...ng-wheel-stalk

But I see it's missing the rear fog lights icon... Not sure if you have/need them in the US version.

I may sound naïve and I apologize, but why didn't you just import an european 86?

I'm retrofitting a lot of the Euro/JDM spec stuff. I never realized there was an additional button for the rear fog. If you could get me a part number that would be amazing!

US is extremely strict on importing vehicles. Though we have the FRS it would have cost close to double the price of the car to get the model I want and get it imported and "legal". That's also why you see a lot of people saying "should have got the BRZ". At the end of the day, for me at least, it's cheaper to convert my FRS than it would have to buy a BRZ and convert it to an FRS.

Yep, here's explained how it works:

The collar is spring loaded (momentary contact switch) so with the front fogs turned on, you rotate the collar up to activate the rear fogs then the switch will return to the front fogs "on" position. Rotating the collar up again will switch the rear fog off. The low beams have to be turned on for the rear fogs to light up, while the front fogs can be turned on in parking light mode.

As you can see, there is some sort of logic in the body ecu controlling the activation of the fog lights.
It may sound confused, I can make a video if you want.

Anyway, I may guess that there's no rear fog lights in the JDM version. So, it's your choice which way you want to go. I don't have the euro part number, but you can try to ask in the regional/Europe section of this forum. I'm sorry I can't help you.

Have you confirmed that the BRZ premium stalk doesn't have the "auto" switch?
