On the other side of bolt is an indent that shows where the indent is. I faced this backwards facing out so someone doesn't inadvertantly try to use an impact tool and its easy to view the plane of the notch.

Curious why this rear cam bolt is not more popular for adjusting camber?

Good question. I can say for myself I want to do more with the rear of the car and made this a moot point. I'm looking to stiffen EVERYTHING up back there, it feels very vague to me. Next I want to keep geometry as close to ideal as possible and I think these will cause more track width change then adjusting from the top. So I'm going with an adjustable bushing in the UCA. You milage may vary.

As Andrew (@apexaddict) and Sam (@samstrano) figured out, if you have uneven camber side to side in the rear (sounds to be fairly common from the factory), the rear subframe is out of alignment, the subframe attachments are slotted so it can be adjusted from there. You still wont be able to dial in an exact number, but atleast you can correct it if you aren't getting equal amounts per side.

@digital_assassin well done! i was under the thought that this is the same essential rear suspension set up as the GR sti and i know no one uses such bolts there so the only choices were LCA's or white line bushings...
good to know! how much more camber can you get out of it +/-1? |

Not sure how much range it truly has. It says +/- 3* but that's unlikely. On my car it took out a full degree so it's at least good for +/- 1*

Adjusting the ride height of the rear will also change camber. The lower you are, the more camber you can get.

So TC112 is what i need? I just put on kw v3s and i can see i have too much camber on the back for street use
I read in another thread that TC112s need to be modified to fit. Sent Chris@Perrin a msg Last edited by VoiD; 03-16-2013 at 07:45 PM. |

why would rear camber be different with just a strut change? what does the rear strut have to do with the camber?

On compression your wheel travels on an arc gaining more dynamic camber as that corner goes lower, for eg your rear left wheel through a right turn. Lowering the car has a similar effect giving you more static camber.

OP has KW coilovers, which have slots in the struts, giving some ability to adjust camber. No need for crash bolts or camber plates unless you want more than what you get with the KW struts. It seems like between 2-2.5 is easily attainable with the strut slots alone. It is the rear that does not have any camber adjustment, without buying some parts, even with the KW coilovers. |
