Heat sink. sync is short for synchronize.
Might work, bit it might not work as well as expected. A CPU cooler has a direct interface to the element generating the heat, the CPU itself. In this application, the heat sink would only contact the outer plastic casing, which is opposite from where the heat is being generated.

New coil has been ordered. Light has stayed off so I guess they'll try to figure out which was the problem and replace it.

Did you reset it at all?? or did it just go out on its own??? if you reset it won't be resident in the ROM.. if you let it go out by itself, It still should be resident in the ECU even tho its not 'active'

BTW tracked the car in hotter weather both days this weekend, no CELs

Might have just been a bad coil afterall.

I've had the same code several times on the track.
Dealer is still giving me grief about my ECU.
I'm just going to replace/upgrade the coils on my own.

Took it back to Longo and they'll be replacing the ignition coil for me.

Our car threw this same code along with a p0108 this weekend at the tail of the dragon and last weekend at Autobahn. No codes at Gingerman though.
