Easier said than done. Flashed it at 12 miles. Would've earlier but the dealer was a few miles away

Break-in is debatable, but generally everything should be seated in the first 50 miles if not sooner, drivetrain another story. Clutch and brakes will need a bit of time, along with the tranny and gears to mesh together with minimal heat. But 1000 miles--not sure you really need that long. Maybe hold off track days but on the street you'd be hard pressed to do any damage.

i know on a chevy small block motor all you have to do to break it in is to run it at 2000 rpm for 30 minutes make sure your oil pressure doesnt drop too dramatic and you could hit the track the next day... i know this may not apply to this 4 banger boxer motor but thats just a though for you guys with motor break in, hi zinc oil is also a good thing

Smart man... No need to rush. 1000 miles will be here before you know it. Good call!!
