If you change the unit value to F will it read in fahrenheit? Thanks.

I guess if 215 is the highest value F wouldn't make much sense. Also, is the OBD Header Seven E Zero?

The engine has no oil temperature sensor. If this is really oil temperature you are reading, it is only an estimate, most likely used for AVCS control. We don't know how good that estimate is.

All the other temperatures are provided in Celsius from the ECU, so the oil temp is probably the same. (I know, it's like this car's not even from 'merkia!)

OBD Header is Seven E Zero.

Thankfully it does. :-) It's the sensor with a two wire plug under the oil filter. You can confirm that by unplugging it and reading the OBDII error code. The code will report an error with the oil temperature sensor.

You can also read the sensor value with the information I provided and heat up the area where the oil sensor is located (sensor with a two wire plug under the oil filter). A zip lock bag of hot water on a cold engine (not running of course) works well. You can even monitor coolant and oil as you are doing this and see the values start out the same (provided the car sat for a long time) and the oil will start very slowly climbing as you hold the sealed bag of hot water to the sensor area. :-)

When you set up the Torque App I think it gives you a choice between celsius and fahrenfeit

Works like a charm just entered all the values in. I think juat by changing the equation and mode it will read in f instead of c.

Buying a nexus 7 tomorrow and going to use the DIY tutorial on here to install it, always wanted to do this but never had the reason to until now.

Should install the free track recorder plug. Lets you record video with all the car metrics overlayed over the video. Walkthrough with video would be sweet.

To change the read out to F, go to Settings -> Units on the main screen for Torque and uncheck the checkmark that says something along the lines of Display In Celsius. All temperature readouts I've tried (including this oil temp. readout) changed to F correctly.

I found the Oil Temperature PID using TorqueScan and verified it by driving, as well as heating up only the oil temperature sensor area with the engine cold (and not running).

Without further delay, here's the info:
OBD2 Mode and PID: 2101
Minimum Value: -40
Maximum Value: 215 (this is just the maximum that this location can support, which does not mean the sensor can read that high)
Scale factor: x1
Unit type: C
Equation: AC-40 (no space between A and C; "AC" is the location within the response)
OBD Header: 7E0 (Auto also works, but seems to take longer)

Just as an aside, I don't know if it's my OBD adapter, or the Header needs to be tweaked (corrected), or if the response is not always long enough but every once in a while I'll get a reading of 189 or 1840 which are both incorrect. I'm not familiar enough with torque to figure out where these glitches are coming from.

Enjoy!
Andrey
I will be adding this to the first page, sorry for the delay I have been busy, thanks a lot for your hard work and contribution!

That's just a low pressure switch which lights the oil pressure light on the dash. The BRZ has no stock oil pressure sensor. Same with pretty much all other Subarus they have the oil temp sensor but just a low pressure oil switch.

You'll have to add an aftermarket sensor/gauge. Also unless there is some kind of bad failure, you can use the oil temp to gauge pressure pretty well.
