Yea, I thought this kind of "enthusiast" car would have attracted more level-headed, mature type of people. I think a majority are, but the ignorant people just seem to stick out more. I absolutely can't stand when someone posts something, and there are immediate people who are like "SEARCH, That's what it's there for". /Rant
In other news. I hope this works out for ya. |

Guys, let's put things in perspective for a minute. If I am a relatively noob car guy and I mess something up on an install I am going to be all stressed and hoping for somebody to help. That's understandable.
On the other hand people on this forum will throw in a little humour here and there to make things fun and interesting, myself included. I think that's OK to unless its obnoxious or always off topic and disruptive. As long as we are polite and considerate of the stessed OP's feelings we can have fun too. Just, not at his expense. Calling someone dumb or being sarcastic is inappropriate too IMHO. Hops, I am sure you will get everything resolved. If not, I will take that heap o' shite off yer hands for 1,000,000.00 Turkish dollars...

Did they give you a price quote for the repair? Sounds like it shouldn't be too bad and a relatively quick fix once they get the seal in which I am sure they had to order.

I find it best to not only read over the original instructions but to read over diys that forum members post. Most of the time they will tell you what to do as well as what NOT to do. Hopefully some peoples negative responses don't sour your mouth too much. I would suggest making friends with a local subaru/toyota/vw tech since they can usually help with the tough stuff and or provide those fancy tools you can't afford. |

I honestly didn't feel any difference in the way it drove, or free revved.. If it changed I couldn't tell.. BUT, I didn't really notice a difference with a exhaust and intake either lol.. I've trained myself to not believe the hype I read on aftermarket gains and stuff.. In a 2700 lb car... 5 hp doesn't feel like much.. If you can feel it at all..
I forgot which mag did it, but the dyno a car before and after with some stupid mods, like cutting off the muffler and taking a filter off and then had the same people test drive it and even though it only gained like a 1 pound feet of torque and a hp or two.. They told them it was like 30 hp and stuff and the people all were like how much more power it had and stuff.. Just because of a sound change On my bike that weights 395 lbs, I might feel that 5 hp.. But not in this car.. With my intake, exhaust and pulley, I don't feel anything.. But I'd like to get a stock auto side by side and see if there is a difference |

They toyota dealer called today and I'm going to pick the car up tomorrow. In not sure what all they did yet but I do know they had to file down the key a little because it had a small burr and they replaced the oil pump drive. It'd gonna cost around 700$ in parts and labor. Ill let everyone know the specifics tomorrow..ill just be happy to have my car back.
