no independent shops can get there hands on a flexplate tool to take the stock pulley off, i dont know what to do, i dont want to take it to dealership in fear of them flagging my car, i have a nice warranty.

I believe there is a vendor that sells a tool to take the pulley off that you could order. Other best bet is to see if anyone on here has one you can borrow.

There are a couple of pulley tools including one from Company 23 [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Subaru-Crank-Pulley-Tool-C23-503/dp/B009ZDCQX2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354714830&sr=8-1&keywords=company+23+pulley"]Amazon.com: Subaru Crank Pulley Tool C23-503: Automotive[/ame]

You'll probably need a breaker bar as well.

I've got an AT, a new pulley that I need to install, and the tool. I'll send you a PM.

I should have used the tool but managed to do it without, certainly wasn't easy though.

Yeah. I paid http://www.infamousperformance.net/ to install it. It definitely made the motor more lively. It seems to spin up more quickly. For me it definitely was worth the upgrade.
