The edges where they connect to the TB and filter box do you mean? They won't matter at all as they are fitted over the existing connections and therefore aren't near the airflow inside.

I can't imagine these will really suffer any heat issues either as silicon is a brilliant insulator.

I wanted to keep the tube as I'm not going to get an exhaust (at least not yet) so quite like some noise in the cabin. I don't find it obtrusive and it's not a daily drive anyway.

Did you have trouble putting the Perrin filter in? I just put my filter in last night but look a good bit of time for the box to close up. Also, can you see any part of the filter once the box is closed? I am asking because I can see a tiny bit of mine. The air box took a while to close because the edges of the Perrin filter are thicker than stock filters. Lemme know your thoughts. Thanks.

makes for a great seal, 2-3 mm should be visible the whole way around
