Cajun, why don't you combine all your one-sentence replies into one?

It doesn't bother me, but it adds to thread length and will eventually make it hard to sift through information.

Rule number 1 of any electrical work, always turn off the power .
A bust relay is nothing , I work in aviation and a short or voltage spike can cause alot of damage to some expensive shit! Be careful with your car coz if you fry something big you won't be covered under warranty , they consider it "tampering". Next time , disconnect the battery and props to you for trying . |

@Cajun
I changed my relay without removing battery too (got lucky nothing broke). I can see how you snapped it in half. I had to pull VERY hard in order to take it out. See attached wiring diagrams. Go to page 383 and 385. Both of them name the fuse for the turn signals. Go to your fuse panel (engine bay and inside the cabin) and check those fuses. Change the one blown out (the engine fuse box has spares). BRZwiringi.pdf

I disconnected the negative yesterday to install HIDs. I thought I was gonna have to unscrew something, but you just push in a tab and pull, and you're done.

And the one time you don't disconnect the battery and accidentally short something and deploy all your air bags......you're not gonna be a happy camper......

Never have.....always disconnect battery. I went to an automotive school after high school and one of the guys in my class was wearing a mens heavy link metal bracelet and it contacted the positive terminal of the battery and it was also in contact with the core support and it left a real nasty burn impression all around his wrist in the blink of an eye. Lesson learned for me, and him too. Take your rings off too if you're working around the battery.
