Yeah found that out the hard way but luckily I have a couple buddies here who have out coilovers on already and so I purchased one of em for 50$ (SCORE)!!

The stock struts aren't bad, but when you burn the seals out by spinning the shaft while you change springs, they don't last long.

Not sure why this is so puzzling to so many people. Struts are leaking AFTER springs are being installed. Either improper installs (spinning the shaft) or struts can't handle the springs. For many of us, it's not worth putting all the OE springs back onto the struts/shocks...hiding the fact that modifications were done to the struts...then hoping Toyota/Subaru will cover it. Much easier to just pay the $75-100.

I don't think any struts have "blown" except for anything but improper install. The stock struts can handle mild lowering springs just fine.
