You'll be fine. 8 inches is the widest accepted width for the stock tire. You could actually even go further but that'll stretch it and won't be within the recommended acceptable range for safety and performance.

I'm in NY, haven't seen snow yet. Also, we don't use salt around here, perhaps they don't by the OP either. Either way, salt on rims would be the least of my worries, in that case. I'd worry more about it getting everywhere else, but there are people who DD this car all year long, so it's not like you can really avoid that unless you have a winter car.

yah we dont get salt either unless its really bad out.

All right experts here's what I'd like to run:

18x8.5 45mm offset with 235/35 front
18x9.5 45mm offset with 255/35 rear

Stock suspension until I can save up for a set of coilovers.

Comments, issues, concerns?

I'm planning on getting white work kiwami 18x9.5
What size tires can I get? I don't want stretch nor beefy tires

On a 9.5 a 275-285 is the ideal width.
