I personally would not want to run a 25mm spacer, I think cobrabyte posted a spacer thread with stock wheels recently. Are you set in a 9" wheel?

There is a wheel offset calculator in 1010tires.com that helps a lot when choosing offsets. Moto spec SSR's are running 18x8 +37 and 18x9 +37 so I would find a wheel you like in something close to the front size and run a 10-15mm spacer in the rear.

I still plan to add ARP studs and a 10mm spacer to the back to get my 18x8 +42s to look closer to flush in the back.

Getting my brand new FR-S next week sometime, late xmas present but oh well .

I noticed a post that 17x9+35 is a solid rim to work with, but how much poke am I really looking at? Trying to get that flush look!

EDIT: In order to make all these rim questions get into the same area I will answer it here, on my own after using that Search button...and some reading

17x9+35 with 245/40-45/ sit wonderfully on a stock height. I see no mentions of any spacers needed. They look Flush with the fenders with no real heavy alignment changes.

Why the hell would you want to do that? No one in their right mind buys new wheels to roll around in snow and salt. ( you are still in NY, right? ) With that in mind why not wait until next Spring, then put some performance rubber on your new wheels? I too will eventually purchase new wheels. They will likely have aggressive all season tires mounted on them!

Plus this winter has been fairly mild again this year. Snowed maybe twice and it was less than 2 inches.

At any rate, it's a good way to waste the stock tires (if you know what I mean) then he can always grab decent rubber later on. Seems like a win-win.

So why would you squander money on new wheels?
