Yes lowering springs are a great value but not if you want to slam the car. With a mild drop (20mm) you'll have good ride and handling, especially if they include replacement bump stops like our springs...but go much farther beyond that and you are on the bumpstops at rest.

I have the H&R Supersport coils at present, waiting for car return to put on my GC Coilovers, but they felt great and increased the capabilities from stock with a very acceptable ride, no chiropractor needed

If it was a DD I may have just chilled there. bigger bumps do bottom to bumpstop, so if you are a NYC driver, you may be better off with a taller coil like the RCE yellow, which probably match the oe dampers better for bigger hits

I see the KW's are leading the poll, I'm thinking of grabbing the GC coilovers also. Wonder how they compare to the current leader ?

I cant answer that, what I'd love to see is a BRZ wearing the same rubber with KW3+sturtbar of choice, driven back to back to a GC setup.

the spring rates are different between the two, I dont know what options for rates KW offers, but there are softer and firmer setups from GC. I plan to order some extra coils.
Why doesnt the poll have GC listed?

I would like to see the same and for your second question...
Because they needed seperate choices for Megan, Ksport, and BC even though they are all pretty much the same thing.

It's also amazing that Tanabe has no votes, i would place them well above some of those others.

GC seems to be my current route just because it comes with the camber plates and is ready to go out of the box.

The fact that my rear camber will go nuts does bother me though but i want whiteline to come out with their RCA

Ah thanks! I hope to go 1.5"- 2" low, nothing slammed, but nothing too high.

Seems silly to pay $2k for lowering it only if I am never going to track it (imho)

I spoke with Adam earlier @ GC and got a go ahead for shipping to Canada

I just noticed you had posted pics earlier in the thread of yours. I'm looking at similar color choices

Just debating whether or not to get the optional Truss bar and rear shock mounts. These will be used for street use only, so I'll probably pass

Get some quality shortened dampers then...

1.5-2" (38-51mm) i would say you might want coils going that low, could run in to bottoming problems with lowering springs. 2k for a good set of coils is a way of preserving oem like handling i little stiffer but otherwise very compliant (not saying that other slightly cheaper ones aren't good either) it comes down to budget i guess, 2k for a shock you know is going to perform well in all circumstances or lowering springs that may or may not have travel problems IIRC most lowing springs don't go more than ~1.3" most staying arount the 1.1 area (some exceptions obviously)

There may be a few new quality coilover options next year under that price range, but right now there aren't many options.
