yup, we had that setup with our Eibach Sportline springs

18x9.5 +38 with 255/35/18 all around

How was the front when driving harder / at full lock?

I am planning the same sizing on stock suspension, and then later coilovers but with a 245/35

When I had them on the car, we were on Eibach sportlines with no rubbing

Maybe with coilovers we'd rub, but I haven't tried that setup yet

245/35/18 should clear though, I don't foresee an issue with that setup

I saw pics of the AEM car with 18x9 +45, the spokes are flush

Okay guys I'm still confused about this with the +40 and +45.
It seems the +40 was specially made for the US market whereas the Jap market has +45.
Well, according to this pic from Rays anyway.

I'm in Aus and I was thinking of going 18x9.5 +45 all round but I keep reading about +40 so it confuses me along with people saying +45 was misinformation yet the image above says it's the truth? Any explanation would be much appreciated.

Hi guys,

Just a quick question. I know the stock michelins have been stretched on an 8" wide wheel, but has anyone stretched the stock Bridgestone Turanza? I'd like to wear these tires out before stepping up to something better/more summer-oriented. Btw...i want to put them on Enkei PF01 17x8 +45.

Shouldn't be any problem, 8" on a 215 is not an aggressive stretch at all. Nice wheel choice too.

If you are going to the expense of buying new tyres I would have thought you would want to run a wider tyre to suit your 8 inch wide wheels. Stretch is usually only used to fit over width wheels on.. It will look a bit silly running a 215 on an 8 inch wide wheel, especially in a +45.. Each to their own, not having a go at you just curious.

It should be be fine. Have you ordered the rims? I have the same rims but in +35. If you can get those, I'd recommend it. It's pretty flush.

He's not buying new tires. He's reusing the old ones that came on the car and will use them until they wear out before spending more money on tires. I agree though, if I was buying new tires, I'd wouldn't buy 215 width for an 8 in wheel. I'm running 225 on mine now but will do 245 next time on my 17x8 PF01s.
