For those with automatic trans BRZs - while the car is running put the car in neutral, press the start button (car shuts off but radio remains on), then you can put it in park. The radio stays on. Still wish the damn radio would stay on regardless until the door is opened - like almost every Chevy I've ever driven...

I was just curious as to how stalling was essential to the OPs issue.
Like, if you had the radio on, and you stalled, would the radio stay on like OP wanted while the engine was off?

That was my question

Ok...so let's say he did stall and radio stayed on. What's your point? Stall everytime just to have radio on/ acc mode? lol

Lol I understand, happens to me all the time. I never took it the wrong way

Also, check my flair - that'll help in the future :happy0180:

P.S if this is a first world problem to OP then do as I say, and stall the car everytime you wanna listen to the end of that latest Justin Beiber song

At least I'm not the only one who was wondering the same thing. I find it quite annoying that you have to shut everything off if you want to turn the engine off. 95% of the time I use my iPod to stream music via bluetooth, so naturally it takes even longer for me to listen to music after shutting off the engine.

Yes, the radio stays on if you stall. Ignition mode is still on when stalled

So the fix is:

When you stop, leave it in gear, crank the parking brake all the way up and dump the clutch.

Got it!

I really wish some electrical guru would blow my mind with some fancy wiring diagram showing me how easy this is to get around.
