Keyless start button: how to put it in ACC mode?

How can I go from engine running directly to ignition in "ACC mode" (without shutting off the radio) when stopped ?

Read the owners manual but can't seem to replicate what they say:
something like " put manual transmission on neutral, release clutch, push start/stop button and check for flashing "key sign" in the dash...

Just got my car 2 weeks now but it completely annoys me to have to shut down the engine and push again on the start button to bring back radio on (but Pionneer radio takes minutes to boot).

Am sure many of you have figured it out already? :bonk:

There is no way to do it. You need to turn off engine (and everything for that matter) and then press the power button without depressing the clutch to get to ACC from engine running.

Whoops! Now some 'negatives' pop up for the lovers of the Push Start feature.

Ive been trying to figure this out. I can do it while rolling at low speeds by double tapping and holding the Start button but can't get it while stopped

I will either very lightly depress the push button or fully depress it with my foot off of the brake pedal.

YMMV, but for me, I couldn't care less. I love the push button. :happy0180:

Push Button start and keyless entry were the only thing I wanted on the limited, couldn't care less about the rest. Wish I could get that "accessory" installed on my premium.

Just curious, but why are you doing that anyways?

Kido1986 11-05-2012 04:54 PM

I want to do this all the time, park the car but you want to finish listening to the song that's playing. Restarting the oem headunit takes forever.

Dave-ROR 11-05-2012 04:58 PM

Ah, I guess I don't care that much about the song that's on lol

Stop, shift to sixth, apply VERY firm brake pressure, and dump the clutch.

Kido1986 11-05-2012 05:21 PM

I know that's an option but Im going to forego putting unneeded wear on the drivetrain
